Nick Boulton

Principal Physiotherapist

Nick is the Principal Physiotherapist and founder of Resurge Physio, with a clinical approach grounded in evidence-based practice and performance-driven rehabilitation.

He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor in Sports Coaching and Administration, complemented by a Level 2 Strength & Conditioning qualification through the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA). This dual background allows Nick to integrate physiotherapy with strength and conditioning principles, delivering comprehensive care that extends beyond symptom management.

After playing sport for over 30 years most of that playing ice hockey, Nick brings a practical understanding of the physical demands of sport, injury, and recovery. This perspective informs his structured and outcome-focused approach to rehabilitation, particularly in returning individuals to activity safely and effectively.

Resurge Physio was established with a clear intent—to provide a higher standard of care than the traditional, time-limited physiotherapy model. Nick recognised the need for a clinic that prioritises thorough assessment, individualised treatment, and progressive rehabilitation, allowing patients the time and guidance required to achieve meaningful, long-term results.

Outside of the clinic, Nick values time with his family and maintaining an active lifestyle, which further reinforces his commitment to helping others remain healthy, capable, and engaged in the activities that matter to them.

His clinical interests include:

  • Sports and musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation

  • Strength and conditioning integration within physiotherapy

  • Load management and injury prevention

  • Return-to-sport planning and performance optimisation

Nick adopts a structured and analytical approach to patient care, combining detailed assessment, targeted manual therapy, and progressive rehabilitation strategies. His focus is on achieving measurable outcomes and supporting patients in returning to activity with improved capacity, resilience, and confidence
